I am not in the mainstream with my modified car, as friends and family often remind me, sometimes with admiration, sometimes with mockery.

I'll confess that I thought of quitting the forum a while ago (a year?) because I could see all the non-modding quasi-political topics getting proposed in the lounge and little else happening on the forum. I didn't because there is nothing on the internet like Ecomodder. We have a rare (maybe unique) and non-conformist community interest in learning, debating, and sharing research, DIY testing, DIY modding, and good ROI.

See my car's mod & maintenance thread and my electric bicycle's thread for ongoing projects. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
