I have seen a ghost... a one-owner Civic VX for sale in the rust belt.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Civic VX in the wild -- it's been years and years. The dreaded tin worm got 'em all.

And then this one-owner example shows up in my e-mail alerts for cheap, local, manual cars for sale, half an hour away.

1992 model.
Only 286,000 km = 177k mi.
I will admit to feeling a spark of temptation... until I read the ad details:

Quote:
Many rust problems
I have her driving but the brake lines are broken
Clutch line is broken
And hole in drivers side floor
Comes with a second car
Engine runs great
I figure $4500 is about $4000 too much. Isn't that asking price tad aspirational?

Are these things still sought after by ricers? Are they collector cars yet? The fact the ad has over 900 views tells me: maybe on both counts.
