I was thinking an Elise could be fuel efficient considering the small engine and lightweight, while being reliable (Toyota engine). It's a noisy and rough ride though, and it has few amenities in an effort to save weight. The TSX was my compromise between luxury, sportiness, fuel efficiency, and reliability. It was the phase of vehicle ownership where I valued a good commuter car over offroad prowess.
