At some point over the last month, my Subaru developed a slight oil leak. At first it manifested itself as a weird smell after I'd driven for a few miles, and a few checks of the oil level and peeks underneath confirmed that it was losing oil (I think from the head) and dripping onto some part of the exhaust system. Great.

Keeping this car rolling in spite of all reason has become a point of pride for me, so I've started topping off the oil level before every drive and checking it again while I'm out. A quart container rides along. Good thing I haven't needed to drive very often or far this year!
