It was interesting to watch Colbert interview Bolton last night. Stephen tried to ask hard questions and John was ready for him.
I just wish that Colbert had asked follow-up questions.
It seems that the simplest explanation for Bolton waiting until now to release his story was personal gain, but he genuinely seemed to be a conservative republican who wants a conservative republican in the White House.
He said that his testimony would not have affected impeachment (democrats lost by 19-20 votes), but it should help with the election.
They agreed that the democrats rushed to finish the proceedings before the nomination.
