Two new patents on front-end car airflow Jul 11, 2020
The first patent is for a double-layered hood that sucks on the top of the stagnation point, shown
in elevation at 0:45. It reminds me of some Ecomodder thread where it was suggested (to feed the base of the windshield not suck on the stagnation point) but the poster was shot down over interference drag and 3x skin friction.
In this case the duct is a converging/diverging hourglass shape in plan.
The second patent discloses an impractically large radiator duct that the first patent powers in a sort of Meredith Effect.
