Not good, but you didn’t drive it to the parts store for oil/filter...after draining the oil like one customer of mine did once. Probably ok, might be worth a quick compression test.
I changed the alternator on my Civic. A bit more of a bear to maneuver in and out than it should have been, but it’s all good now. It wasn’t charging over about 3300rpm, so I knew the day was coming when it would fail...and it did. The upshot is that I got an excuse to bang the rev limiter a couple of times to verify the fix
and still got 32.x mpg when I got home. Sweet little revver that D16 engine, but fast it is not.
