Dry clutches had a higher failure rate than wet clutches, but it may also be due to most people not understanding how the DCT and even single-clutch AMTs work, treating them as if they were a traditional automatic. Surprisingly, single-clutch AMTs tend to be more favored by truckers and bus drivers here in Brazil, while they're not so favored by average car drivers, probably due to additional training being provided to fleet operators in order to take more benefit from the AMT.
