A proper dome has an oculus. A hole facing the sky. It could be a cylinder silvered on the inside* with tractor tire inner tubes stacked on the outside. They must have 100 gallons capacity each. The weight would act like a keystone and make the shell stronger. They could be pressurized (fishnet sleeve) and extend the reach of a RainBird. (If the cylinder tapers toward the top light focuses at the center, if it tapers toward the bottom it throws light to the sides.)
