If I get an evac call, I turn on 2 hose bibs and leave knowing the only way the place catches fire is for the forest across the street to burn too hot.
The evacuation checklist my company forwarded to employees today specifically told people not to leave their sprinklers on when they evacuate. If too many people turn on their sprinklers the municipal water pressure drops and firefighters don't have the water they need at hydrants to fight the fire.
