304 SS has about 1/6 the strength-weight ratio of 6061 T-6 Aluminum (the most common aircraft alloy.) It seems an unlikely choice for a vehicle which already has undersized, inefficient lifting elements.
The SR-71 needed SS for the heat resistance and oxidation resistance when hot, but a new industry was created to use Titanium for barely acceptable heat resistance at half the weight.
