Depending on the age of the house, and the breaker/panel set up, you can use a microwave on a standard circuit[ count peak watts] but my house has 15 amp circuits which were in vogue in the '40s so I ran a 20 amp to the washer area and use my micro plugged into the washer plug. (It's like 3 extra steps)

Hood vent micros mount to the wall and cabinets with install brackets using long screws, the ducting in the cabinet should directly attach, worse case needs a bit of foam seqling tape
