I had the Superbeetle done along with the suspension, but I doubled the cost of the parts with cryogenic tempering. Should extend the life 2-3x.

I just had the shoes checked along with compression. Down to 70lb on #1.

So now I will derust/replace the gas tank and work on the engine tin for the 1776 stroker.
