Have I listed the stuff that I need to send back? My gaming laptop, my distributor, and my Reeboks--on top of my various and sundry projects.

Tires are important, but I barely drive, and rarely leave town, so I am not about to careen into a canyon, despite freebeard making a voodoo doll for my car, because that totally makes sense.

I keep worrying that there will be some Black Friday deal that will be significantly better than my $300 Lenovo.

I need to set up the new router and see if I still have wifi issues--with either Lenovo.

We knew that it wouldn't be able to handle much and I knew that I would want a lit keyboard, but my other complaint is that it keeps coming unplugged--from both ends.

First world problems.

I have been trying to look at Black Friday ads. Walmart didn't have any impressive computer deals, although they will have a 42" television for $88 and a $65 one for $228--that is what I paid for my 43" one!

Except the 42" one is FHD, the 65" one is 4k, and both are onnn.

No regrets.

The whole ad seemed a bit blurry and I am getting squinty-eyed from the small text. I have not even attempted to read the actual small print, but I gather:
Starting Friday, November 6th, online at 1900 Zulu, price guaranteed for one week, tire installation available starting Saturday 11/07, $20 off each Goodyear tire, plus free lifetime tire balance and rotation.

Goodyear Assurance Outlast 205/55r16 starting at $68. 12 sizes, prices vary by size, 80,000-mile warranty, and was $88.

It is $15 per tire with lifetime balance and rotation and another $10 for road hazard protection. They charge $12 per tire for lifetime balance and rotation, although that is clearly included with installation.

Interesting. This time they asked for my submodel and yes, the V6 has 205s and the 2.3L has 195s.

I wonder if my 1990 Accord had 175s...

The v6 and 2.3l also have different speed ratings and load indices.

These are the tires that we discussed and Walmart's prices for 195/65R15:
Bridgestone Ecopia, 70,000 miles, and $96.50; $492.23 installed
Continental ProContact, 55,000 miles, and $95; $485.61
Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max, 65,000 miles, and $120.31; $597.34
Hankook Kinergy ST--not available for my car. $102.59 at Amazon; $519.12
Michelin Energy Saver, 50,000 miles, $137.27 [not A/S]; $672.22
Yokohama Avid Ascend GT, 65,000 miles, $70.97; $379.53

Those are installed estimates going off of my previous math.

I am not spending nearly $700 on tires for my car! With the sale the Goodyears would be $509.05 installed. Most of those are around the same price, with the Michelins being far more expensive, and the Yokohamas being far cheaper.

I would normally argue for the best value, since I do not have efficiency numbers. The Yokohamas would be .58¢ per mile, the Michelins would be 1.34¢, and the others, including the Goodyears on sale, would be .7-.88¢.

Whether you prioritize the best value or the cheapest quality tire the Yokohamas come out ahead.

There isn't any hurry, so I will keep checking for Black Friday sales.
