When I leave from work in the morning after working all night there is no electricity where I park.
Oh and I think 5kw will be plenty to thaw out a car. Even the lowest setting should do fine on all but the coldest single digit mornings.
Or if I need to deice the car at home. When it gets down into the teens a single 1kw space heater doesn't do squat. So leaving a space heater in it over night just wastes that much electricity.
