Living in Brazil, some 10 years ago I didn't expect to see so many hybrids as I see here nowadays. Well, actually it seemed more realistic than EVs anyway.

Unless it's some rust bucket which would be more worth for its weight as scrap, there are other reasons to fix properly a car (or try some makeshift fix) than an emissions issue.
