I confiscated the lumber!

I could have rented a Home Depot flatbed for $20, but I felt that it made more sense to rent another van, pay for mileage, and get the wood out of the rain sooner. The son was there, so I had Mom let him know what I was doing. He came out for a minute and said that his mom would come home today or tomorrow, the doctor said she had 6 - 12 months to live, and they were trying to get hospice care.

We are supposed to get 3-4" of snow on Monday.

Oh great. When she comes home I will need to help her get in the house and up the stairs.

How well do wheelchairs work on gravel... and stairs?

It is only supposed to reach 44° on Tuesday. If I cannot return Tuesday morning, since I have four clients in the afternoon and evening, I will rent a truck and bring back the materials on Wednesday.

I think that I will build a rig on Monday so I can cut dozens of 2x6es 36" long easily and correctly. I should also build rigs for a couple of other common sizes.

I should build rigs for Mom's window trim!

I just need to see if the friendly neighborhood lumbermill can get me wood the right size. I don't want to plane more 2x6es down to actual 1x4s!

So, this Lenovo stopped adjusting brightness already. The other one took 2 years!

What is weird is that it shows the screen adjustment, it just doesn't adjust the screen!
