I cannot find many locksmiths in my area, but the website of one advertises:

Transponder & Chip Keys
We clone and cut keys by code. Don't be caught without a backup key. It pays to be prepared.

I called and he said that he didn't have any blanks left, but ALR in Pinetop had a larger selection. I thought "Why didn't I call them in the first place?!"
It looks like he said A-Alarm; they said they had the blank, but they would charge $95, extra to program it, and they couldn't cut a new key from the VIN, they would just use their vast experience and training to extrapolate how the key should look.
How do Honda keys work anyway? Is this a 7-digit binary sequence? Can they just tell a machine "Beep boop boop beep boop beep boop" and it cuts the keys, instead of tracing the existing key and cutting wide?
