My friend's dad had 100% of his brokerage customer's data on a DOS box that was 15 years old when it stopped booting. I had old hardware from a scrap heap at work that happened to take the hard drive without issue.
He gave me $100 for recovering his whole careers worth of customer data. Not complaining because I expected nothing. Plus I'd cost him a lot I'm sure during my youth.
