The 8th generation Civic Hybrid is the reason I owned two hybrids. I had one as a rental in California. Before that I believed the line that they didn't get near the rated fuel economy. I drove from San Francisco to Yosemite and back and average exactly the EPA HWY mileage. That was that and I started shopping hybrids instead of TDIs for our second car. We ended up with our first 2nd Generation Prius.
