They also have a regular Insight of the same generation for $1,800.
By the way, their number is (928) 474-2009.

You could call yourself and ask a direct question like. "Can I drive this home or will it need to be towed?"

I could, but Stubby said that I wouldn't turn a profit selling it for parts.
If I saw other Civics that generation for sale around here I would consider it for that, but there seems to be a generation gap.
Anyway, I am finally buying a new saw blade so I can start that ramp. I still haven't sent in my old distributor, the gaming laptop, or my nephew's Lego-filled piņata.
It was pretty cool. I tossed and turned until 0440 the other morning, when I got up, took Zzzquil, and melatonin. I slept all of the way until 0830, went back to bed again, checked on my brother at 10, and finally got up at 1130.
I really felt that I needed to sleep before using a circular saw extensively.

Reason: I was too lazy to scroll back to see Stubby's name! :)

They...made mistakes...with the civic for that generation (and the next). They supposedly made a hatchback at some point, but I don't think I've ever seen one. The young ricer-minded guys don't have much interest in an over-weight, under-powered sedan. The next gen (8th?) was butt ugly to boot.
The previous gen was a bit on the heavy side, compared to the one before, but at least it looked decent and came in a hatchback. Around here, these previous gen ones tend to sell better and for more than the gen in question.
And that's the extent of my view on that...
If you do buy it to part it out, there are a couple of items I'd be interested in...but you're not going to make any money off of it through me alone.

Shipping car parts does not excite me.
Maybe I need to start a Honda Owners of the Metropolitan Show Low Area Facebook group so we can swap parts and help each other keep our cars running.

The 8th generation Civic Hybrid is the reason I owned two hybrids. I had one as a rental in California. Before that I believed the line that they didn't get near the rated fuel economy. I drove from San Francisco to Yosemite and back and average exactly the EPA HWY mileage. That was that and I started shopping hybrids instead of TDIs for our second car. We ended up with our first 2nd Generation Prius.

Dodged a bullet there!
My dad's '09 Civic hybrid is on its 3rd battery. And it is nowhere near as pleasant / interesting to drive as a Prius of the same age. (Or as efficient.)

Is the HCH drivable with a bad traction battery or did Honda give up their one advantage?

The 5-speed was (like the Insight). Not sure about the CVT.
And they didn't offer the 5-speed in whatever generation my dad's is.

I am pretty sure that function was manly only.
I am glad that nobody is going to look back through this thread looking for deals they may have missed, we keep veering off-topic!
