Mwaa ha ha aha ha ha ah ha ha ha!

I don't have the key for the Citicar yet. My brother put it in the mail along with the title. (He still has THE LOST CORD book too!)

I ducked under the dashboard and hotwired (bypassed) the key.

I put in four of my budget gel-cells and was able to get power the the main and frd/rev contactor.

Next, I jacked up the back and tested it.

Wheels spin!!!!!!!

Under no load, the speedometer shot quickly up to 50 mph!!!! Too bad it doesn't do that in real riding!!!

Nothing else on the dashboard works yet. The lights, taillights, wiper, etc, - none of that is working - BUT THE WHEELS SPIN!!!!

Of course I had to go out for a ride......

I got it up to about 30 mph. My batteries wore down REAL FAST. I went about 2 miles, and must have been doing 10 mph at full pedal pulling into my driveway.

I checked the four batteries with my multimeter. One of them read 8.1v!
Looks like I got a bad one. But at $12 each, the batteries were still a steal!
