Does that comment imply that combination is no longer legal in Oregon? I challenge an officer to cite the code.

My dad hauled a 5th wheel camper from Portland to Salem using his old Chevy pickup and some lumber he had laying around. He cut a semi-circle in each of the boards to capture the trailer ball and secured the boards to the truck by driving bolts into the rails. Then he used a come along to act as the safety chain. With a full tank of fuel on departure, we ran out 3 miles short of the house. Stopping distance at highway speeds was measured in football fields.

There's no shortage of genius (lunacy) from these genes.
