I had not opened the individual boxes. I received everything but the actual hitch. Despite the free packaging material I would have preferred everything in one box.

I used that packaging material to secure a baby Yoda piņata filled with a Super Mario Lego kit for my nephew's birthday.

It probably won't arrive in-time.

This is the only time that I approve of butt streamers.

As for the hitch, this is all of the information that Uhaul has provided me:

I once saw that actual combination in real life, though of course the towing vehicle was a pickup.

The wagon in that pic sort of follows the pickup recipe: V8, body on frame, RWD.

There's a local guy who hoards Buick Roadmaster wagons because they're the "last big wagon" that does pickup-like things. I'm pretty sure they'll fit the proverbial 4x8 plywood sheet in back, too.

Even though I'm not too strict when it comes to body-on-frame vs. unibody, sometimes it seems to me that GM departing completely from the RWD layout on passenger cars became part of the problems it faced later, not only in the USDM but also in overseas markets. Considering some Chinese Wuling minivans often sold as a Chevrolet in export markets retain the RWD layout, sometimes it seems to have not been to hard to also apply it to regular cars now that some GM platforms have a higher development input from China, it seems quite surprising how RWD became restricted to trucks while it could not only save GM but also benefit customers who need something more rugged.

Had the wagons also qualified as "light trucks" for taxation purposes just like minivans and SUVs do, they wouldn't fade away.

Does that comment imply that combination is no longer legal in Oregon? I challenge an officer to cite the code.

My dad hauled a 5th wheel camper from Portland to Salem using his old Chevy pickup and some lumber he had laying around. He cut a semi-circle in each of the boards to capture the trailer ball and secured the boards to the truck by driving bolts into the rails. Then he used a come along to act as the safety chain. With a full tank of fuel on departure, we ran out 3 miles short of the house. Stopping distance at highway speeds was measured in football fields.

There's no shortage of genius (lunacy) from these genes.

Towing 2 trailers with say a pickup is illegal now in moat states.

I can't lie the more I use a trailer the more I hate trying to get things into the extremely tall bed of a truck.

With a commercial license, gooseneck first trailer and a double rating you can tow 2 trailers. Not sure about triples because you need a dolly.

I'm seeing more and more 5th wheels with a boat or offroad trailer behind.
