Plexiglas also works good for a grill block and isn't very noticeable because of being clear. You'll just have to make some type of mounting brackets to fasten it with. Lots of times Lowe's or Home Depot will have small pieces in the glass cutting area that they can't sell because they are odd sizes and if you will ask the department manager they will discount them. I bought several pieces about 1'X3' and various smaller pieces at Lowes for $5 for the lot. There are various thicknesses of it, but the thinner is easier to form to the contours of the grill. I think most of what I got was either 3/32" or 1/8" thick.
