Where to buy Coroplast / Correx / corogated plastic

(1) Any place for home renovations (i.e., Home Depot, Rona, etc)
(2) Sign stores (fastsigns.com,your local sign store, etc)
(3) local art supply stores
(4) http://www.guineapigcages.com/where.htm - coroplast locater!
(5) tap plastics (or similar)
(6) Costco (or similar) - they use it to separate palates sometimes, should be free
(7) Online (shipping kills it generally, but if you must, try http://www.harborsales.net/ - but CALL for a more reasonable price on shipping)

Going prices:
4X8 sheet for $20 (see if they'll sell you a half sheet!)
Can be found for less at many local shops, but may also be higher (as high as $40 for same). Be happy with $15, okay with $25, anything outside that range is a screaming deal or a rip off, respectively.

In Australia it's typically called Corflute (the dominant brand here).
Can be had from most big building supplies places like Bunnings or Mitre10, about AU$5 for 900x600mm sheet.

What would be a good thickness for placement between my grill and radiator?
Is 4mm sufficient to minimize flex?

I got mine from scrap pallets at work. Occassionally we get equipment in that is boxed with coroplast, and they have to pay to get rid of it along with the rest of the old pallets so they throw them out back for awhile.

There should be plenty of coroplast available after this election. (free FTW)

Plexiglas also works good for a grill block and isn't very noticeable because of being clear. You'll just have to make some type of mounting brackets to fasten it with. Lots of times Lowe's or Home Depot will have small pieces in the glass cutting area that they can't sell because they are odd sizes and if you will ask the department manager they will discount them. I bought several pieces about 1'X3' and various smaller pieces at Lowes for $5 for the lot. There are various thicknesses of it, but the thinner is easier to form to the contours of the grill. I think most of what I got was either 3/32" or 1/8" thick.

Haha, funny thing happened yesterday morning. I woke up early to go take the SAT's and as I left the house I found like 10 signs in my yard. Some neighborhood kids took all of the political signs and whatnot from our street and put them all in my yard.

According to those signs our household supports:
-McCain.
-Obama
-House for sale
-House for sale (different real estate agent)
-Local School Board Official
-some construction company (they redid a neighbor's driveway)
and other stuff.

I just thought this was funny as soon as i saw it because of this thread. "Hypermiler's Dream" lol.

Coroplast is available in "fine flute" with narrower corrugations, as well as from an extruder one size larger than the common type. The factory does special runs of different thicknesses from a given extruder, too. With care, it can be vacuum-formed. However, for most purposes, if the available stock is not strong enough with the corrugations in the best direction, it is easiest to add some ribs or a second layer.
