I saw an Aveo ad in a Canadian newspaper on the weekend that claimed the car's engine had been tweaked for improved fuel economy between 2008 and 2009 model years. No details or FE numbers given though.
I generaly agree with you Tas: it's not a particularly refined drivetrain from an efficiency perspective.
