Yeah so it's probably a good idea to shoot that CO2 down an oil well for a lot of reasons.
It's a good excuse to build pipe lines which creates jobs, less oil to buy from over seas, fewer wells to drill, uses less water.

Maybe, first, the oil lobby should step up to the plate, and pay for the one-million abandoned oil wells in the USA, which will have to be paid for by US taxpayers, in order to properly cap, and pull the steel out of. Abandoned offshore platforms?
Then we could talk about future Superfund sites from pipelines.
