Well it's pretty clear overall that the current way of things isn't sustainable. Gas is finite and clearly a problem to burn. Yes, batteries and current technology produce a lot of harmful pollutants as well and they aren't able to take up the mantle, but if we actually put funding into some of this stuff perhaps we could innovate our way out of this mess.
How many aircraft carriers does it take to start solving the world's problems. Is it ten? 'Cause that's how many we have.
What about F-35's? How many F-35's will it take to start reducing greenhouse gas emissions or cleaning up spent fuel rods STILL laying in a concrete trench at Hanford?
Ah well. Humanity's boned, in my opinion, which is one of the multitude of reasons I didn't create more humans.
