Acrimoto needs to hit $9,999 for a profit to sustain itself. I'm pessimistic, not because the vehicle isn't a hoot, or because I dislike local business, but because of reality. You can pick up a used Leaf for $4k these days, and it keeps you dry regardless of the freezing rain (currently).
My parents now have a '12 Leaf and it suits them well, though currently they are unable to open the charger flap because it's in a layer of ice.
