My sister is trying to convince me to let her husband fix up the car to sell, and then use the money on a newer used car.
As far as security ( if I kept it ) , my first thought on it was simply buying a high strength chain and lock.
I would lock the chain to the factory tow hook bracket under the car.
I could remove it all, and place it in the back of the car in seconds.
If a thief stole the car again, the chain would make all sorts of noise and sparks as they drove.
If they tried to cut it loose, they would need a power bolt cutter or to sit there with a grinder for 15 minutes.
They probably wouldn't even see it.
It would be a lot cheaper too.
