I'm not familiar with dorm rooms at the universities in my country. But I have seen rooms with an attached bathroom and provisions to install a kitchenette which are about that same size advertised for rent as an apartment. Some are so small they would make some van bodyshells look reasonable to build a tiny house out of. The smallest apartment I have ever been inside to take a look was just a little wider than a Sprinter, yet shorter than the LWB ones.
