I need to check up again on Tax Credits here in Colorado. It seems like they used to be great but have recently started dropping quite a bit. I was tempted to get a Prius Prime when I got the Avalon. Back then I could have gotten $9,500 total in tax credits. But IIRC, the Colorado tax credit has been cut in half and will probably be cut even further by the year 2024.
When I got my used Leaf I was able to get a Colorado tax credit on it even though it was used. That loophole was quickly fixed after that though.
