How much variety have there been in Teslas? Sure, the Roadster was one thing, but you had the S, then the shrunken III, then the supersized X, and then the Why, somewhere between a III and an X.
All of those seem like variations of the original. Aside from an even-smaller II, I don't know where else they could go.
The pickup seems to have a completely unique frame and body and it looks like it is taking them 9-10 years to go from the first S to the first pickup.
Building a street-legal four-wheel vehicle seems as different from a trike as the pickup is from the S.
