Indeed, they run the entire length of the car from the rear axle all the way into the front bumper and back.
Even the small cirquit alone is running a LOT of coolant as it uses a rather long pipe for the heater core and uses the same return pipe as the large cirquit.
Add the fact that the engine is all aluminium and bolted to an aluminium transaxle while running under low load and you'll end up driving quite a while on the highway before reaching operating temperature.
On the other hand, that's quite some thermal mass to play with once I've mounted a grille-block.
