Tesla owner comments on the Mirage...
Got several comments from a Tesla Model 3 owner yesterday:
Q1) "What's that on your hatchback? Are you an engineer?"
Me: "No, but I play one on the Internet!"
Q2) "Is that a Honda Fit? "
Not sure if Mitsubishi should take that as an insult or a compliment. Given their underdog status, I'm thinking compliment.
We ended up having a long-ish conversation about the aeromods on the Mirage and his M3. He had empty roof racks on his car and said he thought they affected his range by "around 5%"... But the car's range is good enough that he doesn't worry about it.

If there be insalled roof racks, the owner is NOT concerned about mileage at all

It sounded like he never approaches the range limit of his car, thus no worries about its actual efficiency.

Well, it's got a plug, so...
Is that an electric car??
I use the block heater year-round. So with the weather warming up, I've gotten that question from a couple of people walking by.

I sometimes get asked what "these things" on the roof do.
@MetroMPG
I'm considering to get a block heater as well.
My car has ~11L of coolant and takes forever to warm up, so that would potentialy improve things a lot.

11L!
Is that due to coolant pipes running the length of the car to a radiator up front?

Indeed, they run the entire length of the car from the rear axle all the way into the front bumper and back.
Even the small cirquit alone is running a LOT of coolant as it uses a rather long pipe for the heater core and uses the same return pipe as the large cirquit.
Add the fact that the engine is all aluminium and bolted to an aluminium transaxle while running under low load and you'll end up driving quite a while on the highway before reaching operating temperature.
On the other hand, that's quite some thermal mass to play with once I've mounted a grille-block.
