Star goes dark for a few hundred days then comes back to full brightness. Did astronomers observe this biblical black sun phenomenon? It's never been seen before (ha) and they have no idea what happened or how to explain it.

That would require that they have magnification, which didn't exist, and a hydrogen-alpha filter, which didn't exist.
