Loisha, Dneproppetsrovsk University, Tomsk, Siberia, USSR, published data from Russia, Ukraine, Polish, Armenian, German, and English sources, indicating up to 217 grand aurora during the 70-years of the Maunder Minimum; averaging around 2.8- aurora / year, same as for 1989.
And there's no evidence that life on Earth was ever remarkably impacted by the event.
