There are numerous, easily searchable articles that claim California is coal free.
But https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sear...neration_Plant is still showing active not only that but it appears there are plans to build more coal fired power plants in California pending approval.
It also appears southern California is anything but coal free even when the one coal fired plant is down for maintenance, it turns out they totally dependent on outsourced coal power too.
