Nice. That puts the [hingless] complication on the trailer instead of the tow vehicle. Maybe a secondary clamp onto the tow vehicle to sense the angle mechanically?
What I do is take a picture of the paper sketch, run it through the GIMP to adjust the contrast and then upload it to an album where I can reference it at will.
