That's a good point. Why not comparing the Jetta SW to a Tiguan for instance? They even share the same underpinnings.

Before my knees got too bad I had to use a cane to walk, I considered to get a 125cc motorcycle or a scooter. But as I have a dog, to which my mother is extremely attached BTW, maybe a motorcycle would not be the best setup to travel. This has led me to consider a tricycle conversion, even though there would be a decrease of the top speed if I resorted to a small-displacement motorcycle to convert. Would I be OK with that? Around 99% of the times I believe I would.

Would I be confortable in a one-ton, crew-cab truck. Yes. But would I keep one even if someone gave one to me and paid me to drive it as my personal vehicle?... NO!!!

Had I been sponsored to drive something with a quite expensive TCO, well, I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be OK with that.

Most people just want a vehicle they can fit into comfortably and gets them from point A to B. It doesn't have to get the best fuel mileage or cost the least for them. But I, on the other hand, would like to get away from unnecessary use of energy as much as possible without going so far as to forfeit driving a practical motorized vehicle.

I guess you understand why I still consider quite reasonable to eventually build an early Piaggio Ape replica from scratch, with some improvements to enhance practicality and comfort.
