The TDI forum has proven to have a wealth of information on all sorts of topics. It is pretty great.
The last few days have been pretty productive. I am making progress on eliminating all the check engine lights. I have changed the oil and I am waiting on the transmission filter, which will hopefully fix P0811, which is excessive clutch slippage. I am not sure what exactly tripped that, since that code should be exclusive to manuals.
Today I should finish up replacing the thermostat and temp sensor, which should resolve P0118 and P0228. I will also be taking the intake apart for P0401 and clean the EGR valve, which should (hopefully) fix that issue; it is pretty dirty.
After all that I still have P0234 (overboost) and a code for the TPS. The car does not have a TPS as far as I am aware and I haven't noticed any related problems when I drove the car home. Input on these are welcome.
