MAF sensor is locater after the airbox. The snorkel that has been taken out is located before the airbox.
That's one of the reason why I didn't want to install a "real" CAI : no modification had to be done to the MAF piping, I can keep using the 8€ OEM filter, air is pumped almost from the same location in the engine bay, and it's free

For now, fuel economy hasn't significantly changed : 7L/100km on the last tank vs 7,7L/100km on average before the mod (on E85 fuel).
