Just went by the Toy Store (Lowes) today to look for Plexiglass and Lexan myself. Turns out there's this middle grade 'glass' they have now. Might be a happy middle ground to go with on this project. A big sheet of Lexan was $70 versus about $25ish for Plexi... hmmm... Apparently Lexan is like 250X stronger than glass and Plexi is only 10X!
I am really curious and might be attempting this on my Metro as well since 50MPG seems like all I seem to get right now... maybe I should go check my tire pressure finally!? lol
