As we lose the polar ice, the crustal rebound will introduce stress and strain which didn't exist before the Industrial Revolution ( Revulsion? ), which, in 1870, had already experienced increased seismic activity since the deglaciation / sea-level reference interglacial geodetic reference datum was achieved.
This is what can really unzip major faults.
