I wasn't sure how I was going to make a changeable rear final drive work with a gokart cvt and work with a 1 way bearing.
Well I think I figured it out. Use a go kart cvt chain drive. That's the easy answer.
To make a changeable final drive the gokart tuners have axle drive hubs that take split sprocket gears with different numbered tooth counts, looks like 53 up to 78 teeth. So I can get 4.4:1 to 6.5:1 final drive ratio.
But the off the shelf sprocket to axle flange will never fit a one way bearing. I'll have to buy a sprocket flange to axle hub and copy it so that it can be bored out to hold a 1 way bearing and drilled on the edge to accept split sprockets.
I don't have to have the 1 way bearing final drive for initial testing, if I want to make a road trip version then yeah.
