Strapping a turbo onto it would create way more power than really necessary (though it would be fun to try), and even hybridization would have limited benefit outside of low RPM operation, where I predict the engine will end up coming up short.

Sure it would seem quite pointless at first, unless you were willing to build some sort of KERS.
