If you build pressurized water reactors, then they don't blow up.
Chernobyl and fukmeshima were boiling water reactors.
The 3 mile island non disaster was a pressurized water reactor, note the anticlimactic ending.
Also 3 mile island wouldn't have melted down had the emergency cooling pumps not been illegally locked out "for maintenance" and procedures have changed so that if a reactor runs a way, orders now say to cool it down fast as possible and if that cracks the reactor core so be it. A cracked core sucks but not nearly as bad as even a minor melt down. The reactor is done either way.
