Yep, and he's "worn out" a lot of other things in his advancement of all things aerodynamic as related to land vehicles: testing techniques, actually trying new ideas for efficacy, documenting, researching, consulting with world-renown experts, writing a plethora of technical books, etc.
His sin as related to this forum was his zeal to right all wrongs as he saw them, and to do it in extremis. I don't think anybody laid a glove on him in regards to his technical expertise and his ability to express it. His expulsion from this arena was not his lack of expertise, of which he excels, but his aggressiveness, lack of diplomacy and a wont for extreme criticism towards those he feels are in error.
Personally, I miss his comments. In his very short tenure as a member here, I believe I learned more from him than any other source on the forum. YMMV.
