I like the idea of building my own home, but I would definitely need to improve my skill level first!
I tried to find a large shed kit. Sure, I have done this plenty of times before, but I expect this to change periodically.
Also, I don't remember anything!
Once I started looking I figured that I would want something with a garage, maybe with apartment in the second story or something up there!
So then I was trying to find kits. Home Depot has a 3-car garage kit, but the roof is pretty flat.
Strangely, they don't seem to have 2-car kits.
This is the largest shed kit I found on Wayfair:
14 ft. W x 32 ft. D Solid and Manufactured Wood Storage Shed for $15,700. 448 square feet and it annoys me to have a high roof, but not high enough for a second story.
Let's come back to that.
I happened to see this:
Arrow Murryhill 14 x 31 Garage, Steel Storage Building, Prefab Storage Shed for $4,600:
One foot shorter and $10,100 less?!
Insulating it would be a pain. I would need to put in studs to hold the fiberglass, although I could always pay someone to spray.
Allegedly this
30×40 Vertical Roof Garage is $13,530 delivered and installed--before up to a 10% Black Friday discount.
This site shows a
36x48 steel building with 2 garage doors for $26,659
I know I looked into this before. I specifically remember Barndominium, but I don't remember being impressed.
In unrelated news, Lowe's shows this
Gazebo Penguin 18-ft x 20-ft x 9.92-ft Clear Metal 2-Car Carport, which sure looks like a car greenhouse!
I keep thinking that I should wait until I have seen those additional clients for a while...
